Terms & Conditions Retreats & Travel

1. Welcome & Scope

These terms and conditions apply to all retreats, travel experiences, events, and services offered by The Sol Rise Collective, trade name of Edith van Mever. By confirming a booking, the participant acknowledges having read and agreed to these terms. We strive to create a safe, inspiring, and professionally organized retreat experience for every participant.

2. Reservation & Confirmation

A reservation becomes final once the booking has been confirmed in writing or digitally and the deposit has been received. The Sol Rise Collective reserves the right to refuse a request where necessary or deemed appropriate. After confirmation, the participant will receive practical information to prepare for the retreat.

3. Investment & Payment

The current retreat price will be stated in the offer, on the website, or on the invoice. A 350 EURO deposit is due upon reservation. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks before departure. Timely payment guarantees retention of the reserved place.

4. Cancellation by Participant

Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email.

  • Up to 90 days before retreat start: deposit only payable (€350)

  • Between 89 and 60 days before departure: 50% of the total retreat price

  • Between 59 and 30 days before departure: 75% of the total retreat price

  • Within 30 days before departure: 100% of the total retreat price

Where possible, a replacement participant may be proposed subject to prior approval. Failure to attend or early departure does not entitle the participant to any refund.

5. Changes or Cancellation by Organizer

In exceptional circumstances, such as force majeure, safety concerns, or insufficient participants, a retreat may be postponed, modified, or cancelled. In such cases, a suitable alternative will be offered or payments made toward the retreat will be refunded. Costs outside the retreat itself, such as flights, insurance, or personal expenses, remain the responsibility of the participant.

6. Program & Experience

Our programs are carefully curated and may be adjusted where necessary to maintain quality, safety, and the natural flow of the retreat. Participation in yoga, coaching, healing sessions, workshops, and excursions is voluntary. Missed program elements do not entitle the participant to any refund. Where possible, a suitable alternative will be offered.

7. Stay & Community Guidelines

We ask every participant to treat facilitators, locals, staff, and fellow participants with respect. Careful treatment of accommodation, materials, and surroundings is expected. Smoking is only permitted where allowed. Drug use and excessive alcohol consumption are not permitted during retreats. Conduct that compromises safety, peace, or group harmony may result in termination of participation without refund.

8. Health & Personal Responsibility

Participants remain responsible for their own physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Retreats are intended as an enriching experience and do not replace medical care or therapy. Injuries, medical conditions, or relevant circumstances must be disclosed in advance. Some sessions may be deepening, intensive, or emotionally transformative.

9. Travel Documents & Insurance

Participants are responsible for valid travel documents, visas, vaccinations, and any local requirements. Travel insurance and cancellation insurance are strongly recommended. Any costs resulting from missing documents are the responsibility of the participant.


10. Liability

Participation in all retreat elements is entirely at the participant’s own responsibility. The Sol Rise Collective is not liable for loss, theft, injury, delays, or damages unless caused by intent or gross negligence. For services provided by third parties, such as transport providers or accommodations, liability rests with the respective party.

11. Photo & Media

Atmosphere photos and videos may be taken during retreats for promotional purposes and brand communication. If a participant does not wish to appear recognizably in images, we kindly request this to be communicated in advance. Confidential or personal moments will always be treated with respect.

12. Privacy

Personal data is used solely for administration, communication, and execution of the booking in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We handle personal data carefully and do not share it unnecessarily with third parties.

13. Complaints & Care

If anything does not meet expectations, we kindly ask participants to report this as soon as possible during the retreat so that we can work toward an immediate solution. If necessary, a written complaint may be submitted within 14 days after the retreat.

14. Governing Law

All agreements are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
